Our Staff
Active 8 Care is led by a highly experienced Registered Care Manager and a Project Manager who specialises in outdoor pursuits. The activities are delivered by a dedicated team of Project Workers and Outdoor Education Instructors and as previously mentioned, all teams operate on a minimum 2:1 provision at all times.
All staff working on this programme will have been through a rigorous recruitment and selection process, enhanced CRB clearances are always gained, qualifications are checked and references are obtained from previous employers. It is only after such checks have been completed and are satisfactory that employment will be offered.
All
staff are regularly supervised and training needs identified to ensure ongoing
professional development. Active 8 Care is committed to in house training
for NVQ Level 3 - Children and Young People. This is achieved through an external
agent and internal assessors and verifiers. As part of the induction process
all staff will cover pre-commencement training as laid down by the National
Minimum Standards.
